Always wondered what rural life is like? Want to go rural but don’t really know what to expect? Or, just want to get away for a weekend from the hustle-bustle of studying?
Well, look no further!
The GPSN Farm Stay is organised by our Rural Working Group. Our goal is to give medical students the opportunity to learn more about the career of a rural generalist, and a glimpse of country life for those who might not be familiar with the benefits of a rural lifestyle.
The weekend offers a variety of both academic/clinical and rural recreational activities to highlight the interesting and exciting GP lifestyle in a rural environment.
The GPSN Rural Working Group is very proud to be the only student body in the country to have organised a weekend academic event dedicated to Rural Medicine in 2020 and 2021, given COVID-19 restrictions at the time.
