Dear GPSN members,
As we near the end of the year, I’ve been reflecting on what a year it’s been with GPSN. 2025 has absolutely flown by, and I’m genuinely grateful to everyone who’s been involved with GPSN in any way this year.
Our local clubs continue to be the beating heart of our network. Whether you were part of your university’s local club, attended one of our local or state events, or engaged with us online through our webinars and social media, your involvement has truly made a difference. GPSN wouldn’t exist without the tireless work, passion, and energy of our local teams and members, so thank you all for your continued dedication and support.
Nationally, we’ve had some really exciting moments this year. We are thrilled to have established a national partnership with eMedici, which continues our goal of providing medical students with high quality, GP focused education as well as cost effective access to education and exam support resources. Under the partnership, GPSN members will receive a 20% discount to eMedici resources.
We also released our nationwide General Practice Student Survey through our National GPSN Working Group, and you’ll find the results included in our latest newsletter.
It is also my absolute pleasure to introduce the incoming 2026 GPSN National Team. I can’t wait for their ideas for our network to unfold and see the amazing things they achieve in the year ahead:

The broader General Practice community has also had some major changes, with GPSN as a member of the General Practice Training Committee discussing the upcoming GP/RG Training Incentive Payments commencing early next year. These changes, introducing salary incentives, study leave, and parental leave for GP trainees, mark a really exciting step forward in GP/RG training for future registrars.
As we head into the final months of the year, I want to wish the very best of luck to everyone sitting exams and OSCEs, and I hope those who have already finished are enjoying some well deserved rest over the holiday period.
Lastly, I’ve been lucky enough to be part of GPSN both as part of my local club and nationally for three of my four years in medical school. Through GPSN, I’ve met the most kind, passionate and dedicated people from across the country. I’m truly grateful for this community. Thank you to everyone I’ve been lucky to meet and work with along the way, and I’m proud to be part of the future GP movement alongside you all.
