As I write this final Chair’s Address, I am overwhelmed with gratitude, pride, and excitement for the future of our incredible network. It has been an absolute honour serving as your National Chair over the past year. Reflecting on all that we’ve achieved together fills me with immense pride. This year has been a testament to the power of collective passion, hard work, and a shared vision for the future of general practice.
Together, we’ve advocated on national platforms, championed pay parity and benefits for general practice trainees, and organised countless initiatives that have brought students closer to the diverse, impactful, and rewarding world of general practice. Every step we’ve taken has been driven by you, our community, and your unwavering commitment to this essential field of medicine.
A heartfelt thanks
I cannot express enough gratitude to the many people who have made this year such a success. To the members of GPRA, who work tirelessly behind the scenes, your support has been the backbone of GPSN. Your dedication ensures that our network continues to grow and thrive, and I thank you for enabling us to do what we do.
To my National Executive Team — your guidance, friendship, and unwavering support have been my anchor this year. Your innovative ideas, dedication, and hard work have brought our vision to life. I couldn’t have done any of this without you, and I will forever cherish the memories we’ve created together.
Finally, to you, dear reader: thank you. Your passion for general practice and your engagement at local, state, and national initiatives are what make GPSN the incredible community that it is. It has been a blessing and an honour to represent you this year, and I hope our work has inspired you as much as you have inspired us.
